When I saw the gigantic size of the lanterns, I was very excited on how will it give me a very outstanding performance once the competition starts. The people who represented their corresponding Barangay were very busy preparing for their world class presentation.
Before the main event has started, they were performers who had their production numbers as it added the excitement and meaning to Christmas and of course to the celebration of the Giant Lantern Festival.
The Lanterns is composed of approximately 3500 to 11900 bulbs each. and it performs with the music. The large steel barrels called rotors substituted the hand-controlled switches to manipulate the lights that gives a different and awesome exhibitions that make the viewers feel more the essence of Christmas.
There were 10 Barangays who participated the event namely: San Jose, Calulut,San Pedro, Del Pilar, San Juan Nepomuceno, Sta. Lucia, Del Carmen, Telabastagan, San Nicolas and Dolores.
